My wife and I have tried multiple times to get 2 10 Home Warranty to actually play ball with their wording in their documentation. The dishwasher in our home failed just after closing, and now 2 10 has said that it must have failed before the closing and is therefore not covered.

This is despite the fact that our home inspector said a plumbing issue needed to be rectified, but the dishwasher itself was operational. 2 10's wording follows: Coverage will apply to an existing defect or mechanical failure provided the defect or mechanical failure could not have been detected by a visual inspection and a simple mechanical test. Neither a visual inspection or a mechanical test would have revealed the problem as a technician had to take the dishwasher apart to discover the defect.

We were told we would be reimbursed the service fee since no service was rendered (and the 2 10 office was rude to my wife), and that the check would be cut no later than 10/17. We have not received that check as of 10/26.

Product or Service Mentioned: 2 10 Home Buyers Warranty Homeowners Policy Claim.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $300.
